Character Family Background Rules

Character Social Background

After accepting a set of ability scores, players roll 2d6 for social standing (Soc) and family background according to the tables below. These tables assume a pseudo-medieval, human society.

Based on the character’s Soc characteristic, the player selects the appropriate parent profession table and rolls for the parent’s profession. This may be either parent, or a guardian, but the dominant parent-figure, and one with the highest social standing, in the character’s life. For D66, roll 2 differently colored 6-sided dice, designating one as the tens digit and the other as the ones.
